About Tarbaj Constituency

Tarbaj Constituency was established in 2012 following electoral boundary delimitation. It is one of six constituencies in Wajir County. The current Member of Parliament is Hon. Hussein Barre.
The developmental agenda of the constituency is spearheaded by the Tarbaj National Government Constituency Development Fund Committee (NG-CDFC). A Fund Account Manager, who is an officer of the NG-CDF Board and seconded to the constituency, coordinates the activities of the Constituency Committees and also serves as an ex-officio member of the NG-CDFC. The committee focuses on ensuring equitable distribution of resources and implementing development initiatives for the benefit of all constituents.
